Renata Antczak may still in Britain, according to top police investigators
Ms Antczak vanished after dropping off her daughter at primary school on April 25 and has not been seen since, but investigators previously believed she may have fled back to her native Poland.
The new revelation comes as her dentist husband, Majid Mustafa, appeared alongside Robert Lipinski at Hull Magistrates Court on Monday over the alleged poison plot.
A Humberside Police spokesman said: 'As part of enquiries we have looked into the possibility she has left the UK and to date no one called Ms Antczak has travelled from the UK to Poland or any other country.
'Therefore we believe she is still in this country. However we continue to work closely with Polish authorities as part of the investigation.'
Police jointly charged Mustafa, 47 and Lipinski, 45, with conspiracy to administer a noxious substance to Renata earlier this month and they will both appear at Hull Crown Court on June 19.
Officers, who are still treating her disappearance as a missing persons case, believe that she left her home at about 1pm on foot before disappearing without trace.
Police are 'continuing to work tirelessly to try to locate' the 49-year-old, but have said that there have been no confirmed sightings of Ms Antczak.
Police have also confirmed that they have searched land and waterways near where she was last seen.
