Tufaro Foundation donates to BMSCH

The Marisa Tufaro Foundation helped make hospital stays less stressful for children when they recently made a generous donation to the child life program at The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital (BMSCH) at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) in New Brunswick. The donation will support instruction and supplies for BMSCH’s art therapy program and provide funds for infant mobiles, bubbles that will be included in welcome bags for patients, and toy cars that staff will use to transport children to the operating room for surgery. The Marisa Tufaro Foundation was founded by Greg Tufaro, a scholastic sports writer for MyCentralJersey.com, the Home News Tribune and the Courier News, and his wife, Cyndi, an Edison school principal, following their daughter Marisa’s death Jan. 30. ‘Maid to Order’ at Linden High School

Linden High School will hold its fall drama, “Maid to Order,” on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 15 and 16, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 and sold at the door. “Maid to Order” is an hourlong comedy about a wealthy widow who is expecting her beau for dinner, which means she expects nothing less than perfection from her household staff. Unfortunately, identities are mistaken and the fast-paced plot picks up more speed as it goes. An extended chase scene involving just about everyone makes this fresh farce a crowd favorite. Linden High School is at 121 W. St. Georges Ave.
