Annual 'Gift of Dentistry' held at Premier Dental Wellness in Statesboro
STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) - A Statesboro dentist and his staff brightened the holidays for dozens of people who might not have smiled otherwise.
Dr. Richard Marz and Premier Dental Wellness hosted their annual Gift of Dentistry on Friday. They saw patients for free who might not have the money or insurance for cleanings, fillings, or extractions.
The office staff worked without pay to help provide dental care to at least 50 patients. Dr. Marz says the reward is helping people at this time of the year.
"It's just a nice thing to do, especially around the Christmas holidays to give back to the community that's given us so much," said Dr. Marz, D.D.S.
Dr. Marz didn't work alone. He teamed up with another dental office in town to handle extractions.
