UFC CEO, Dana White, wanted to be stepping over Emmy awards for his work on the UFC 306 pay-per-view (PPV) event inside Sphere in Las Vegas, which took place last Sept. and featured Merab Dvalishvili’s title-winning performance over the half-blind Sean O’Malley.

I don’t know if two is enough to make anyone break their stride, but it’s certainly nothing to sneeze at.

White has been sharing the news across his social media channels.

UFC is expected to be one-and-done at Sphere, likely due to the venue’s exorbitant price tag. That said, rival promotion PFL claimed its “Battle of the Giants” card in Riyadh well exceeded UFC 306 in terms of budget, for reasons not quite understood.

O’Malley is scheduled to rematch Dvalishvili atop the UFC 316 lineup next month inside Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, even though “nobody wants to see that fight.” Hopefully these life changes make an impact and the bout is competitive.
