If you are the kind of person who, when you find an item of clothing you love, you'll be wearing it on repeat. Earlier this year I picked up the Woven Jersey Mix Sleeveless Racer Ribbed Midi Dress from Next, and it's fast become one of my most-worn outfits of 2025.
The dress, priced at €41.50, was originally available in khaki and classic black, before red and stone versions were released in spring. This week, I learned that it's been released in two more brand-new shades, proving it's one of the most popular styles at the retailer this season.
Comfortable, flattering, and endlessly versatile, it's the one piece I've found myself reaching for again and again, whether I'm heading out for coffee, or layering up for cooler weather.
And if I wasn't already pining after the initial colourways, the latest bright blue and lime green variations bring a fresh, mood-lifting twist to a silhouette I already adore.
If you're not already acquainted with the frock like me, this midi-length dress offers a ribbed cotton-blend racer bodice with a smooth, pure cotton skirt, complete with side seam pockets (yes, pockets!). It gives the illusion of a skirt when styled under a denim jacket or oversized jumper, a trick I've used repeatedly in transitional weather, while working equally as well on its own in warmer temperatures.
Since buying the dress, back in March, I've worn it countless times and earned heaps of compliments on it. For a similar vibe, Nobody's Child has this Green Sleeveless Tiered Charlie Midi Dress for €118, while Marks and Spencer is offering their Pure Cotton Halter Neck Midaxi Beach Dress for €54. While they're both great choices and 100%, the Next dress is still a good bit cheaper.
The shape is relaxed but flattering, with a bodice that gently hugs the figure and a breezy skirt that adds just the right amount of volume. And I'm not the only one obsessed. Reviewers have called it 'perfect for smart or casual wear,' 'ideal for holidays,' and a 'lovely summer dress for exploring Spanish cafés.' Many have even gone back for seconds, praising the fabric quality and easy fit.
"This is a lovely dress," said one shopper. "Did have to return and re-purchase as I had to downsize as they are quite generous in size. Bought two in different colours. The material is lovely and looks really nice on. Added bonus is the pockets on the side of the skirt bit of dress."

As the first customer mentioned, it is slightly looser than expected, so I recommend sizing down if you're in between. I initially tried on a size 10 (my usual) but found the size 8 to be a better match. Available in sizes 6-26 in regular fit, it's also tailored for petite and tall shoppers, offering sizes 4-20 in petite and sizes 10-20 in tall.
