A couple from Saint John has been found dead while they were reportedly travelling in Alberta.
Dentist Cindy McCormick, a dentist well-known in the area, was attending a dental conference at Chateau Lake Louise when she was found dead on Oct. 22, 2017.
The body of Robert Kaine, 52, McCormick’s romantic partner and a firefighter from Saint John, N.B., was found in a vehicle just across the B.C. border on Emerald Lake Road earlier that day.

The Lake Louise RCMP detachment released a statement on Tuesday confirming that an autopsy has been performed on the body of a woman and confirmed that the manner of death was a homicide.
Investigators have also confirmed that McCormick’s death is related to the death of a 52-year-old man whose body was found in a car.
The Mounties have not identified who the people are but Global News has independently confirmed their identities as McCormick and Kaine.
Police say that no additional suspects are currently being sought.
Bob Hatheway, president of the New Brunswick Dental Society, said the dental community is saddened by McCormick’s death.
“Cindy practised in Saint John for over 15 years, and I personally had the pleasure of serving on the Society’s Board of Directors with her from 2011 to 2016. Dr. McCormick was full of life, and very engaged in dentistry at the regional, provincial and national levels. On behalf of dentists in New Brunswick, I would like to express our sincere condolences to her dental team, patients and her family. She will be missed.”
The International Association of Fire Fighter Local 771 Saint John Firefighters Assoc. offered their own condolences for Kaine in a since-deleted Facebook post.
Kaine was reportedly a talented hockey player in both the junior and senior hockey levels, and played for the Amherst Ramblers for a period of time.
He also played with the Saint John Vitos senior hockey team, during which the club won the 1992 Allan Cup Championship, a national senior hockey title.
Both Kaine and McCormick were originally from Nackawic, N.B.
