Albert B. Crum, MD, Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Dr. Crum has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the Immunology and mental health industry

RHINEBECK, NY, June 19, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Albert B. Crum, MD, DSc (Hon), M.S., with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. Crum celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

A world-renowned physician, immunologist, and international stress management expert/consultant on emotional stress and oxidative stress, he has an extensive Patent Portfolio, with 23 Patents/Patent Applications Listed by Clarivate's Master List. University research has demonstrated that one of Dr. Crum's new-use patents, scheduled for publication November 1, 2018 by the U. S. Patent Trademark Office, represents a major scientific breakthrough, demonstrating in a human cell study, inhibition against the world-wide Zika viral scourge. In the science of immunity, Dr. Crum has already unraveled a physiological method for the synthesis of bodily intracellular Glutathione, via Immune Formulation 200®, also trade-marked VITAMIN GSH-S® working in conjunction with US Patent RE42,645E. For highlights of this scientific Glutathione/Oxidative Stress achievement, the copyrighted manuscript is entitled: "Unique Features and Key Advantages of Immune Formulation 200® (also known as VITAMIN-GSH-S®)."

Dr. Crum is a graduate of the Harvard Medical School, Class of '57. He was selected to be the permanent HMS '57 Class Agent as a class leader to represent his Class. As an HMS student, owing to his facility in biochemistry, Dr. Crum was selected to conduct independent research with approval by the HMS Administration and Promotion Board. He did not attend regular classes during that period but was required to pass all General Examinations and the National Boards. This selection was made from only 15% of the upper half of each class. Dr. Crum was awarded a Harvard Medical Student Research Fellowship and merited Honor grades for his research.

Dr. Crum's Columbia University residency was in Stress Management and Psychiatry. He holds a Master of Science degree (all A's) from New York University and a Doctor of Science (Hon.) degree from the University of Redlands (CA). He has been called into counsel or Audiences with many world leaders, including an Audience with Pope John Paul II, now Pope Saint John Paul II, and with His Holiness the Dalai Lama and many others. In 1974, Dr. Crum, a nonsectarian, was awarded the Pope John XXIII (now Pope Saint John XXIII) Gold Medal with a sacred embedded Relic of Pope Saint John XXIII. Dr. Crum served as co-Chair of the U. S. Coordinating Committee Supporting the Nomination of His Holiness the Dalai Lama XIV of Tibet for the Nobel Peace Prize. Dr. Crum was an invited guest by the Nobel Selection Committee to the Nobel Award Ceremony of 1989 for His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Dr. Crum understood, as others did, that Glutathione was a pivotal molecule in the origin, preservation, and restoration of the immune system. However, Dr. Crum felt that the most important way to achieve the biochemical goal of Glutathione replenishment would be to augment its intracellular step-by-step precursor synthesis--physiologically. This mechanism is evolutionarily consistent with the concept of natural selection and adaptation.

He saw certain parallels between Emotional stress and Oxidative stress: the sensor of Emotional Stress with its signaling pathways to the Central Nervous System, and the sensor of Oxidative stress with its signaling pathways to the Genome. Vitamin GSH-S® tracks the authentic synthesis pathway of Patent RE42,645E to support the Immune System.

Previously, (1959-1961) Dr. Crum worked in areas of Emotional stress and was appointed and served in the U.S. Air Force as Captain and was appointed Chief of the Neuropsychiatric Service, at Continental Air Command Headquarters. In 1966, he was selected to receive the Distinguished Service Award (DSA) by the Brooklyn Junior Chamber of Commerce, as "Young Man of the Year." He was appointed Clinical Professor of Combined Departments of Behavioral Sciences and Management Sciences at New York University from 1987 to 2002. He was selected as the 1989 Citizen of the Year for the Borough of Brooklyn (NY), He had earlier been selected and delivered the 1986 Distinguished Lecture for the New York University Omega Chapter of the national Dental Honor Society Omicron Kappa Upsilon: the title: "Aequanimitas Revisited;" the theme: "Prevention of Substance Abuse in the Healing Profession." In addition, the prominent CRC Press commissioned him to write The 10-Step Method of Stress Relief: Decoding the Meaning and Significance of Stress © 2000. His book was very favorably reviewed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and by Dr. David Rosengard, who had been White House physician to President Lyndon B. Johnson. Dr. Crum's book was also sent as a gift to Queen Elizabeth of England and Dame Elisabeth Murdoch by the Australian Forensic Authorities.

In clinical medicine, Dr. Crum observed the interrelationship between the immune system and illness propensity and the vital role of Glutathione for the maintenance and support of immunity. Because of his background in biochemistry, Dr. Crum was able to solve a crucial scientific enigma about Glutathione's pleiotropic synthesis and its safe physiological replenishment, which involved the parallel sensor and signaling pathway processes of Emotional stress and Oxidative stress. The Patent RE42,645E issued August 23, 2011.

The venerable John Wiley & Sons Publishers has commissioned Dr. Crum to write a 350-page book on his discovery regarding Glutathione synthesis and its vast medical implications: Glutathione Synthesis: Unraveling the Pleiotropic Paradox and its Vital Immune Roles.

Early background: Dr. Crum is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Sigma Xi ("The Scientific Research Honor Society"), a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada, and member of the American Chemical Society. He was a youthful member of MENSA and, much earlier, achieved Eagle Scout Rank and Ranger Scout Rank, only the 2nd youth at the time in the "Covered Wagon Council" to attain both ranks. As a student at Nebraska's historic Omaha Central High School (CHS), he was a Midwestern wrestling champion and an honor student. In 2005, he was elected to CHS's distinguished Hall of Fame.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Albert B. Crum, MD, DSc, (Hon.), MS, has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
